The assessment team is Dr. Cheryl Ackerman, a registered psychologist, and Megan Watt and Samantha Beneteau, both experienced psychometrists. Cheryl leads clinical interpretation and reporting. Megan and Samantha are specialists in standardized cognitive, academic, and ADHD testing.

Dr. Cheryl Ackerman

Dr. Cheryl Ackerman, Registered Psychologist, is responsible for the clinical interpretation and final sign-off of every assessment report. She brings together the testing results, developmental and educational history, presenting concerns, and clinical observations to develop a clear, individualized understanding of each client's profile.

Dr. Ackerman's practice is focused on psychoeducational and ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. She is experienced in interpreting complex learning, attention, and executive-functioning profiles, including cases where strengths may mask meaningful challenges. Her reports are designed to provide clear conclusions, practical recommendations, and useful documentation for schools, post-secondary programs, workplaces, and other support providers.

Dr. Ackerman holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from York University and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Megan Watt

Psychometrist

Megan Watt is an experienced psychometrist who administers cognitive, academic, and attention testing for children, teens, and adults. She is highly familiar with the standardized measures used in psychoeducational and ADHD assessments and approaches each appointment with consistency, precision, and professionalism.

Megan is especially skilled at creating a calm, structured testing environment for clients who may feel nervous or uncertain about the process. She is attentive to pacing, engagement, and effort throughout the session, helping clients feel comfortable while ensuring the assessment is administered carefully and reliably.

Her thoughtful, steady approach is valued by both families and adult clients seeking a clear, respectful, and well-organized assessment experience.

Megan holds a B.A. in Psychology from York University and an M.S.W. from the University of Windsor.

Samantha Beneteau

Psychometrist

Samantha Beneteau is a psychometrist who specializes in psychoeducational and ADHD assessment batteries for children, teens, and adults. She administers standardized cognitive, academic, and attention measures with close attention to accuracy, consistency, and the individual's experience throughout a full testing session.

Because assessment appointments can be demanding, Samantha is attentive not only to test administration but also to factors such as persistence, pacing, frustration tolerance, confidence, and changes in performance over time. These observations provide important context alongside the test scores and contribute to a more complete clinical understanding of each client.

Samantha brings a composed, supportive presence to testing and helps clients feel at ease while maintaining the careful structure required for dependable assessment results.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and completed graduate training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).
